Bio:
At the tender age of ten, Andy was only at the genesis of his drumming career. Taking private lessons at The LaMattina Drum Studio for six years created a solid foundation for the next four years at Bookwood High School. While at Brookwood, Andy spent his freshman year in the front ensemble, his next three on the tenor line. During the spring of 2005 as a senior, a new and exciting independent world WGI line emerged. Much in the way of his high school career, Andy spent the 2005 season at Odyssey in the front ensemble. This time around in the pit was full of rack and synthesizer notes for the show “Pulse: A Journey Through The Four Stages Of Life”. Even Andy wasn’t playing the instrument of his choice, he was hooked on Odyssey Percussion Theater. Andy spent the 2006, 2008, and 2009 seasons at Odyssey playing on the tenor line, serving as section leader for ’08 and ’09. Andy enrolled at Georgia State University seeking an English degree, but his musical talents would not go untapped during the fall. Since 2005, Andy has been a member of the Georgia Tech tenor line. He is entering his fifth and final year marching for the Yellow Jacket Marching Band. Andy is very excited to make the move from marching member to a member of the music staff this season at Odyssey, and is looking forward to seeing you throughout the spring of 2010.
